Main Toolbar

The main (or header) toolbar is located immediately below the menu row at the top of the program window, and contains options and commands that control the entire program. These are most often represented with clickable icons. You can, for example, use the header toolbar to edit the error threshold or search for runners. Hold the mouse cursor over a button to see a description of that button's function. Many commands can be accessed via both the mnenu and the header toolbar.

Buttons and shortcuts

Creates a new split time file and lets you write in event data. Ctrl+N
Opens a split time file. Ctrl+O
Saves the open split time file under a different name. Ctrl+S
Shows the import dialogue where you can convert split times to the WinSplits internal file format. Ctrl+I
Exports the contents of the selected tab to a file. Ctrl+T
Prints out the contents of the selected tab. Ctrl+P
Previews the contents of the selected tab before printing. Ctrl+Shift+P
Cut. Ctrl+X
Copy. Ctrl+C
Paste. Ctrl+V
Lets you change event data for the open event. You can, for example, edit the event's name, add or remove classes, runners, and custom courses, and edit the runners' split times. Ctrl+D
Shows the Options window, where you can switch languages. Here you can also add or remove modes for the Results, Table, Graph and Replay tabs.
Search Searches for runners based on name or club name in the Results, Table or Detailed info tabs. Searching takes place while you type in the search string, and the program jumps immediately to the next runner who meets the search criteria. A red background in the text field indicates that the search string was not found. Switch between several matching candidates with the Enter key or with the button. Ctrl+F
Switches between normal results and results with the time lost subtracted. The test to the right shows what error threshold is in place. Click on the text to change the error threshold. Ctrl+E
Shows the Create custom class dialogue, where you can create custom classes consisting of selected runners and legs.
Lets you sort runners by a certain property. The properties you can sort by depend on which table mode you are in. The current sorting property is shown in the status strip.
Shows the help text relevant to the current tab. F1
